Six Great Uses for Gridwall Panels

Is your store in need of a better way to display accessible merchandise or organize supplies while at the same time guiding foot traffic? Gridwall panels may be the right investment for your business. Gridwall panels are made from heavy-duty wire welded to form a grid of horizontal and vertical wires.

With multitudes of display accessories, gridwall panels are an incredibly versatile and attractive way to spruce up a wall. With the help of rolling bases or legs, you can even enjoy their functionality without having them mounted! And they’re available in either chrome or powder-coated colors like black to match your existing fixtures – plus, since it follows industry standard patterns, adding additional pieces later on is no problem! The grid pattern effortlessly accepts a multitude of hooks, baskets, shelves, and even acrylic sign holders. Here are the six great uses for grid panels.

1- Gridwall Panels Organize Ever-Changing Merchandise

With ever-changing products, it’s important to make sure your merchandise is visible and accessible to customers. Thankfully gridwall panels are here to help streamline that process.

All it takes when dealing with gridwall panels is some rearranging to get your hooks and baskets exactly where they need to be – no tools or lengthy instructions needed. Put together a planogram and the rest will be simple as pie.

2- One Fixture, Infinite Display Possibilities

A single gridwall can be the place to display a variety of items. Hooks can accommodate everything from hangars for clothing to goods in packaging meant to be hung. Baskets can hold small items, and shelves can hold an endless variety.

Looking for a heavy-duty display? Gridwall panels are strong. Free-standing gridwalls will come packaged with information explaining weight limitations. Those installed directly to walls vary in how much weight they can hold based on the type of wall to which the panel is affixed.

3- Here Today, There Tomorrow

Free-standing gridwall panels are moved with little effort. When you want to make special items or discounts noticeable, move the gridwall to better catch the eye of the customer. Arrange them according to your floor space or take them outside for the day to display sale items or new merchandise.

4- Not Just for Customers – Gridwall Display Ideas

Of course, merchandise for sale isn’t the only thing that gridwall panels should be used for in a retail setting. They are perfect for organizing supplies and backstock. Add them to storage and warehouse areas to help manage your inventory. A panel at the point of sale (POS) is helpful, too. Hang from it extra sacks, receipt tape, and spools of discount stickers.

5- Control Foot Traffic

Gridwall panels can be arranged on your sales floor near the POS to create a path toward the register. Single free-standing gridwall panels can be spaced out to do this, or several panels can be connected together to form zigzag patterns along the floor. You can also make L-, T-, H-, or U-shapes. You can also use slatgrid queue systems to create an effective impulse purchase zone. Grid panels are great for blocking off areas or guiding shoppers into other parts of the store.

6- Easy Installation of Retail Gridwall

Your gridwall panel will include instructions for installation, and your type is likely to be similar to all of the others. If you are connecting gridwall panels together, it’s recommended that you use five joiners per connection to do so. These clamps make stable connections. They can be used when mounting panels to the wall too.

For wall mounts, you will need a minimum of four mounting brackets. Consider the type of wall behind the panel. It’s recommended to use a stud-finder to locate the studs that will have the strength needed to support your gridwall panel. Use appropriate screws (i.e., drywall screws, paneling screws, etc.) along with plastic inserts or wall anchors for extra strength and stability.

Once you’ve tracked down the studs, make a note of where your top wall mount brackets will attach. Be sure to place them at each corner – that way they’ll hold all your gridwall goodies securely in their small sections! With notches pointing skyward, screw those babies onto the wall for quick and easy decorating

Now that you have secured the top of the panel and made sure everything’s even. Then slide on those bottom brackets – just be mindful that their notches are pointed down. After all that hard work, reward yourself by accessorizing with panel attachments– enjoy personalizing your new display space!
